Light

Light

She is light.

She is the glimmer of the desolate stars amongst a polluted sky

The faint glow of fireflies as the sun is setting

A flickering streetlight on an empty road

The blaze of the midnight sun

Bioluminescent waves that ebb onto the shore

A flare shooting into the sky, demanding attention

Lightning silently streaking across the sky

A gentle guide, not intended to blind.

She is color.

She is the rainbow that is seldom noticed

Eyes opened for the first time

A paintbrush gliding across an empty canvas

Fireworks bursting across the night sky

Christmas lights illuminating a neighborhood

Confetti on the floor at a graduation party

Flowers blooming in a grassy field

Water balloons being thrown on a hot summer day

A burst of color that will never fade.

She is love.

She is the forgotten love letters shoved in a closet

A single name written a thousand times in a notebook

Words etched with promise

A beating heart waiting to be heard

Two people swaying together in a dimly lit room

Words softly spoken, full of emotion

A look filled with appreciation

An affection so fierce

Never to be taken for granted.

She is light.

She is color.

She is love.

She is magnificent
